Research progress on metaplastic breast carcinoma

Abstract：Metaplastic breast carcinoma( MBC) is a rare and heterogeneous subtype of breast carcinoma with generally poor prognosis. MBC usually present with larger tumor, less nodal involvement, higher histological grade, and lack hormone and HER-2 re-ceptor expression. This review will describe the characteristics of clinical,histopathological,immunohistochemical,genetic, diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic in this generally poor prognosis malignancy.
