Abstract：With the changes in lifestyles and the development of an aging population,the incidence of diabetes in China has been increasing making it one of the major chronic diseases threatening human health.Adherence to hypoglycemic drugs is a primary treatment method.However,with the wide application of hypoglycemic drugs for diabetes,the number of people suffering from hypoglycemia has gradually increased.Severe and persistent hypoglycemia can damage vital organs such as the heart and brain,and even lead to death.Therefore,actively exploring the causes of hypoglycemia in diabetes and helping diabetic patients manage their daily lives are of great significance for preventing hypoglycemia.In addition,when diabetic patients experience severe hypoglycemic symptoms,pre-hospital emergency care should be carried out promptly,providing scientific guidance on the condition,maintaining the stability of the disease,and striving for rescue time.This article reviews the causes of hypoglycemia in diabetes and the advances in pre-hospital emergency care,providing a reference for reducing the risk of hypoglycemia and saving the lives of hypoglycemic patients.
