Effect of Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre granules combined with vitamin AD on inflammatory state and humoral immunity in children during the remission phase of recurrent respiratory tract infection

Abstract：Objective To investigate the value of different dosing regimens during the remission phase of recurrent respiratory tract infection(RRTI)in children.Methods A total of 183 children during the remission phase of RRTI from August 2020 to January 2022 were divided into three groups according to the computer random number table method,with 61 patients in each group.The three groups were given conventional treatment.On this basis,the control group 1 was given Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre granules,the control group 2 was given vitamin AD,and the combination group was given Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre granules combined with vitamin AD.The inflammatory status[C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),Toll receptor 4(TLR4)],humoral immunity[IgA,IgM,IgG],adverse reactions and recurrence rate of respiratory tract infection at 6 months after treatment were compared among the three groups.Results At 7 d and 1 month after treatment,CRP,IL-6 and TLR4 in the combination group were lower than those in the control group 1 and the control group 2,and lower in the control group 1 than in the control group 2(P＜0.05).At 7 d and 1 month after treatment,IgA,IgM and IgG in the combination group were higher than those in the control group l and the control group 2,which were higher in the control group 2 than in the control group 1(P＜0.05).During treatment and at 6 months after treatment,the recurrence rate of respiratory tract infection in the combination group was lower than that in the control group 1 and the control group 2(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the control group 1,the control group 2 and the combination group[0(0/61),1.64％(1/61),3.28％(2/61)](P＞0.05).Conclusion Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre granules has a significant anti-inflammatory effect,and vitamin AD has advantages in improving humoral immune function.The combination of the two in the interval period of RRTI in children can synergistically improve the inflammatory state and humoral immunity,which is safe and reliable,and can reduce the incidence of respiratory tract infection.
