Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of different frequencies of hyperbaric oxygen combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)on cerebral hemodynamic parameters and cognitive function in patients with cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 100 patients with cerebral infarction who were treated from October 2022 to October 2024 were selected and divided into the control group(n=34),the low-frequency group(n=33),and the high-frequency group(n=33)according to random number table method. The control group received rTMS therapy five times a week for four consecutive weeks. The low-frequency and high frequency groups received additional hyperbaric oxygen therapy on the basis of the control group. The low-and high-frequency groups underwent hyperbaric oxygen therapy three and five times a week respectively for four consecutive weeks. The clinical efficacy of the three groups was evaluated, and changes in cerebral hemodynamic parameters[mean velocity(MV),resistance index(RI),and pulsatility index(PI)],neurological function[modified Rankin Scale(mRS)],language function[Aphasia Battery of Chinese(ABC)],and cognitive function[Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE),Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA),and Neurobehavioral Cognitive Status Examination(NCSE)]before and after treatment were compared.Additionally, the incidence of adverse reactions was statistically analyzed. Results After treatment, the total effective rates in the low-frequency and high-frequency groups[87.88%(29/33)and 93.94%(31/33),respectively]were significantly higher than that in the control group[70.59%(24/34)],which were significantly higher in the high-frequency group than in the low-frequency group(P<0.05).The MV levels in the low-frequency and high-frequency groups were significantly higher than those in the control group, which were significantly higher in the high-frequency group than in the low-frequency group(P<0.05).The RI levels,PI levels, and mRS scores in the low-frequency and high-frequency groups were significantly lower than those in the control group, which were significantly lower in the high-frequency group than in the low-frequency group(P<0.05).The ABC,MMSE,MoCA and NCSE scale scores in the low-frequency and high-frequency groups were significantly higher than those in the control group, which were significantly higher in the high-frequency group than in the low-frequency group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Hyperbaric oxygen therapy combined with rTMS can safely and effectively improve cerebral blood perfusion, cognitive function, and neurological function in patients with cerebral infarction, and the high-frequency hyperbaric oxygen and rTMS regimen demonstrates superior clinical efficacy.
