Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of electroacupuncture in preventing deep vein thrombosis(DVT)in patients with acute brain injury(ABI)and its impact on coagulation-fibrinolysis function and venous stasis index(SI).Methods Eighty patients with ABI who were hospitalized from June 2023 to August 2024 were selected and divided into the observation group(n=40)and the control group(n=40)by random number table method. The control group was treated with an intermittent pneumatic compression(IPC)therapy, while the observation group was treated with electroacupuncture on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks. After treatment, the fibrinolysis/coagulation indicators, serum inflammatory factors and hemoglobin levels,as well as venous congestion indicators and the occurrence of SI and lower extremity venous thromboembolism(VTE)in the two groups were observed. Results After treatment, the activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT)and prothrombin time(PT)in both groups were prolonged compared with those before treatment, and the levels of D-dimer(D-D)and fibrinogen(FIB)were decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).Moreover,after treatment, the APTT and PT in the observation group were longer than those in the control group, and the levels of D-D and FIB were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).After treatment, the levels of serum C reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),and interleukin-8(IL-8)in both groups decreased compared with those before treatment, while the level of hemoglobin increased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).Moreover,after treatment, the levels of CRP,IL-6 and IL-8 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the level of hemoglobin was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Compared with before treatment, the inner diameter and SI of the common femoral vein in the observation group were both lower than those before treatment, and the average blood flow velocity was higher than that before treatment(P<0.05).The average blood flow velocity in the control group increased compared with that before treatment, and SI decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).After treatment, the inner diameter and SI of the common femoral vein in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the average blood flow velocity was higher than that in the control group(P<0.01).After treatment, the incidence of VTE in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).No significant difference was observed in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture treatment can improve the coagulation function and inflammatory response of patients with ABI,relieve the venous stasis state of the lower extremities, and reduce the risk of VTE.
