Abstract:Postpartum depression(PPD)is one of the most common complications following childbirth, yet its neural circuit mechanisms remain unclear. With advancements in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)technology, various methods—including blood oxygen level-dependent(BOLD)functional brain analysis and brain morphometric analysis based on structural imaging—have been progressively applied to investigate abnormal changes in neural function and structure of PPD patients. This review summarizes recent progress in neuroimaging research on PPD,aiming to provide additional evidence for a deeper understanding of the pathogenesis of PPD,as well as the development of precise diagnosis and treatment strategies for the disease.
