Abstract:Objective To investigate the ultrasonic characteristics of pulmonary embolism and its impact on liver function. Methods A total of 80 patients diagnosed with pulmonary embolism and diaphragmatic dysfunction between January 2022 and January 2024 were enrolled, including 40 cases of pulmonary embolism(research group)and 40 cases of diaphragmatic dysfunction(observation group).Forty healthy individuals undergoing physical examinations during the same period were selected as the control group.Ultrasound examination results and diaphragmatic excursion were recorded for all three groups, and liver function and protein metabolism indicators were compared among the three groups. Results The positive detection rate of ultrasound examinations in the 40 pulmonary embolism patients was 95.00%(38/40).Compared with the control group and the research group, the observation group showed smaller diaphragmatic excursion during deep breathing and reduced differences in excursion across respiratory phases significantly greater changes in diaphragmatic mobility(P<0.05).Alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),and gamma glutamyl aminotransferase(GGT)levels were higher in both the observation group and research group than in the control group, with the research group showing significantly higher levels than the observation group(P<0.05).Protein metabolism indicators in the observation group were also higher than those in the control group and the observaion group(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with pulmonary embolism have more significant liver function impairment, and ultrasound examination may provide novel insights and approaches for developing more effective treatment plans and prognostic evaluations.
