Clinical effect of deep hyperthermia combined with Sindilizumab and Lenvatinib in the treatment of intermediate-to advanced-stage hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract：Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of deep hyperthermia combined with Sintilimab and Lenvatinib in the treatment of patients with intermediate-to advanced-stage hepatocellular carcinoma.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on clinical data of 86 patients with intermediate-to advanced-stage hepatocellular carcinoma admitted from June 2021 to May 2022.Based on therapeutic strategies,they were divided into the combination treatment group(n=45)and the control group(n=41).The combination treatment group was treated with deep hyperthermia combined with Sindilizumab and Lenvatinib,and the control group was treated with Sindilizumab and Lenvatinib.The two groups were compared in terms of recent efficacy,quality of life,immune function indexes,adverse reactions and survival rate.Results The objective response rate(ORR)in the combination group was 53.33%(24/45),significantly higher than that in the control group(31.71%,13/41)(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in disease control rates between the two groups(P>0.05).The European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core 30(EORTC QLQ-C30)score was higher in the combination treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,CD4+levels and CD4+/CD8+of the combination treatment group were higher than those of the control group,while CD8+levels of the combination treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).No significant differences were found in the incidence of adverse reactions and the incidence of grade 3 and higher adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05),nor significant difference in the median overall survival between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Deep hyperthermia combined with Sintilimab and Lenvatinib in the treatment of patients with intermediate-to advanced-stage hepatocellular carcinoma can effectively improve the ORR,enhance the quality of life,regulate immune function,and demonstrate good safety.
