Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of gonioscopy-assisted transluminal trabeculotomy(GATT)in the treatment of patients with primary open-angle glaucoma(POAG).Methods In total,110 patients(110 eyes)with POAG treated from August 2022 to August 2023 were selected, and randomly divided into the control group(n=55)and an experimental group(n=55)according to a random number table method. The observation group was treated with GATT,and the control group underwent trabeculectomy, while the experimental group underwent GATT.The intraocular pressure(IOP)and best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)before and after surgery, clinical recovery rate of visual acuity, success rate of operation and incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results At 5 d,1 week, and 1 month after surgery, the IOP in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, while the BCVA was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).At 1 month after surgery, the clinical recovery rate of visual acuity in the experimental group was 80.00%,which was higher than that in the control group(60.00%)(P<0.05).The success rate of operation was also better than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 7.27%,which was lower than that in the control group(21.82%)(P<0.05).Conclusion The success rate of the GATT is high, which can effectively control IOP,promote visual recovery, and reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications in patients with POAG.
