Analysis of the current situation and trends of misdiagnosis research on lung cancer in China based on Cite Space

Abstract：Objective To systematically review the development trajectory of misdiagnosis research on lung cancer and to explore the key focus directions and attention in the field of misdiagnosis of lung cancer in China.Methods Using Cite Space bibliometric visualization software,based on the literature on misdiagnosis of lung cancer included in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Database,and VIP Journal Database from 1958 to August 2024,a systematic analysis was conducted on the publication trend,journals of publication,authors,research institutions,and keywords of misdiagnosis of lung cancer.Results From 1958 to August 2024,the number of related literature publications in the field of misdiagnosis of lung cancer in China first increased and then decreased.The cooperative relationship between the author and the institution was relatively loose and independent.The research topics on misdiagnosis of lung cancer mainly focused on aspects such as pulmonary tuberculosis,pulmonary nodules,and imaging examinations.Conclusion With the advancement of imaging examination technology and the development of big data in the medical field,the research related to misdiagnosis of lung cancer has gradually decreased and the attention paid to it has gradually declined.However,since misdiagnosis of lung cancer not only affects the survival rate of patients,but also may lead to unnecessary treatment and a waste of medical resources,it is necessary to continuously summarize the cases and causes of misdiagnosis of lung cancer to avoid the occurrence of misdiagnosis.
