Observation on the effect of Dulaglutide combined with Calcium Carbonate capsule in the treatment of diabetic osteoporosis

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical effect and safety of Dulaglutide combined with Calcium Carbonate capsule in the treatment of diabetic osteoporosis(DOP).Methods A total of 204 patients with DOP admitted from March 2023 to August 2024 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number method.On the basis of individualized glucose-lowering regimens,the control group(n=102)was treated with Calcium Carbonate capsules,while the observation group(n=102)was treated with Dulagtide on the basis of the control group.The clinical effect,adverse reactions,blood glucose levels,and bone mineral density(BMD)at different sites before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 86.27%(88/102),which was higher than that in the control group[67.65%(69/102)](P<0.05).After treatment,the BMD of the wards triangle,L1-4 vertebrae,and the femoral neck in both groups increased,as compared with those before treatment,and the BMD of the wards triangle and L1-4 vertebrae in the observation group was greater than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of fasting blood glucose,glycated hemoglobin and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose in both groups were lower than those before treatment,and lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions was 15.69%(16/102)in the control group and 21.57%(22/102)in the observation group,showing no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of Dulaglutide combined with Calcium Carbonate capsules in patients with DOP is relatively good.It can significantly lower the blood glucose level of patients and increase the BMD at different sites,while having high safety.
