Effect of modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction combined with Methotrexate and Tofacitinib in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis of cold-dampness obstruction pattern

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of the modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction combined with Methotrexate and Tofacitinib on rheumatoid arthritis(RA)of cold-dampness obstruction pattern.Methods A total of 90 patients with RA of cold-dampness obstruction pattern who were admitted from February 2022 to October 2024 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method.In the control group,45 patients were treated with Tofacitinib combined with Methotrexate,while in the observation group,45 patients were supplemented with modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction on the basis of the control group.The treatment course was 8 weeks.The changes in the levels of C reactive protein(CRP),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),rheumatoid factor(RF),and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody(CCP)in the two groups of patients before and after treatment were observed.The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)pain score,and disease activity score 28(DAS28)for joint diseases before and after treatment were compared to evaluate their clinical effect,and the adverse reaction was recorded.Results After treatment,the ESR,CRP,RF and CCP levels,TCM syndrome score,DAS28 and VAS score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).The total effective rate of the observation group after treatment was higher than that of the control group[95.56%(43/45)vs.80.00%(36/45)](P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,blood urea and creatinine in both groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion Modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction combined with Methotrexate and Tofacitinib has a good therapeutic effect on RA of cold-dampness obstruction pattern,without increasing adverse reactions.
