Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of Tongqiao Tongluo decoction combined with electroacupuncture(EA)in the treatment of cerebral vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH).Methods The clinical data of 86 patients with cerebral vasospasm after SAH admitted from September 2020 to December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into the EA group(n=43)and the combination group(n=43).Both groups were treated with conventional Western medicine, the EA group was treated with EA,and the combination group was treated with Tongqiao Tongluo decoction on the basis of the EA group. The curative effect, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,European Stroke Scale(ESS)score,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score, hemodynamic indexes[resistance index(RI),blood flow velocity(Vm),peak systolic flow velocity(PSV)],inflammatory factors[interleukin-8(IL-8),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)],the recurrence rate of cerebral vasospasm, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the combination group was higher than that in the EA group(P<0.05).After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores,NIHSS scores,RI,Vm,PSV and levels of IL-8,hs-CRP and TNF-α in the two groups were decreased, while the ESS score was increased;the improvement of the above indexes in the combination group was more obvious(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions and the recurrence rate of cerebral vasospasm in the combination group were lower than those in the EA group(P<0.05).Conclusion Tongqiao Tongluo decoction combined with EA can significantly improve symptoms and neurological deficit of patients with cerebral vasospasm after SAH,reduce inflammatory response, and the treatment is safe and reliable.
