Abstract:Objective To explore the differences in curative effect of disposable circumcision suture device(DCSD),shang ring circumcision(RC)and traditional circumcision in children with redundant prepuce and phimosis. Methods A total of 200 children with redundant prepuce and phimosis who were admitted from January 2022 to December 2024 were selected and divided into the DCSD group(n=65),the RC group(n=57),and the traditional circumcision group(n=78)according to different surgical plans. The surgery-related indicators, postoperative Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)pain score, aesthetic score and incidence of complications of the three groups were compared and analyzed. Results The DCSD group had the shortest duration of operation and wound healing time, the least intraoperative blood loss, but the highest surgical cost. The wound healing time was the longest in the RC group. The traditional circumcision group had the longest duration of operation, the largest intraoperative blood loss, and the lowest surgical cost(P<0.05).At 1 and 24 h after the operation, the VAS pain score in the DCSD group was lower than that in the RC group and the traditional circumcision group(P<0.05).At 7 d after the operation, the VAS pain score in the RC group was higher than that in the DCSD group and the traditional circumcision group(P<0.05).The aesthetic scores of both the DCSD group and the RC group were higher than those of the traditional circumcision group, which were higher in the DCSD group than in the RC group(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in both the DCSD group and the RC group was lower than that in the traditional circumcision group, which was lower in the DCSD group than in the RC group(P<0.05).Conclusion DCSD,RC and traditional circumcision are all safe and effective methods for treating redundant prepuce and phimosis in children.Among them,DCSD has the advantages of shorter duration, less bleeding, more rapid postoperative recovery and fewer complications, but the surgical cost is relatively high.In clinical practice, the optimal treatment plan should be selected based on the individual needs of the children.
