Abstract:Objective To investigate the incidence characteristics and disease burden of chronic respiratory diseases among residents aged 16 years and older in Daqing area, and to provide theoretical guidance for reducing the incidence of respiratory diseases among the population aged 16 years and older. Methods A total of 1,013 patients aged 16 years and older with chronic respiratory diseases diagnosed and treated from January 2018 to January 2023 were randomly selected as the research subjects. The registration data and total population data of people aged 16 years and older with chronic respiratory diseases in Daqing City from January 2018 to January 2023 were queried. The crude incidence rate, standardized incidence rate,cut-off rate, cumulative rate and cumulative risk were calculated based on the sampling weight, and the annual percentage change(APC)was analyzed using Jointpoint 4.9.The in-hospital system was queried to obtain the patient's direct medical expenses, indirect medical expenses and direct non-medical expenses, and to analyze the disease burden. Results From January 2018 to January 2023,the crude incidence rate of chronic respiratory diseases among residents aged 16 years and older in Daqing City was 156.83 per 100,000,the standardized rate was 173.17 per 100,000,the cut-off rate was 209.82 per 100,000,the cumulative incidence rate was 13.25%,and the cumulative risk was 13.22%.There are gender differences in the incidence of chronic respiratory diseases among residents aged 16 years and older, and the incidence rate was the highest among those aged 65 and above(P<0.05,P<0.01).The trend analysis results showed that the annual average incidence rate of chronic respiratory diseases among male residents aged 16 years and older(APC=12.40%)had increased more significantly than that among female residents(APC=5.04%).The average annual incidence rate of chronic respiratory diseases increased the most among people aged 65-87 years(APC=19.74%),followed by those aged 35-50 years(APC=15.41%)(P<0.001).There were significant differences in the total expenses, direct medical expenses, indirect medical expenses and direct non-medical expenses among patients with different types of chronic respiratory diseases(P<0.01),and the total expenses, direct medical expenses and direct non-medical expenses of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and lung cancer were the highest. Conclusion The incidence of chronic respiratory diseases among residents aged 16 years and older in this region is relatively high and on the rise.Among them,COPD and lung cancer have the highest costs and impose a heavy disease burden, which, therefore, should be given priority for prevention and control.
