Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of combined application of respiratory function training and Cordyceps preparations during out-of-hospital rehabilitation on pulmonary function and quality of life in patients with interstitial lung disease(ILD)complicated with respiratory failure(RF).Methods A total of 120 patients with ILD complicated with RF who were admitted from February 2022 to June 2024 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group by the random number table method. The control group received conventional discharge guidance, health education and out-of-hospital rehabilitation guidance, while the observation group was treated with combined respiratory function training and Cordyceps preparations on the basis of the control group. The quality of life, blood gas analysis indicators, pulmonary function indicators, exercise endurance and rehospitalization due to ILD within 6 months of follow-up were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results At 6 months after intervention, the scores of physical function, vitality, social function and overall health on the Short Form Health Survey Scale all increased in both groups compared with those at discharge, and the scores in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group(P<0.01).At 6 months after intervention, the partial pressure of arterial oxygen(PaO2)increased,while the partial pressure of arterial carbon dioxide(PaCO2)decreased in both groups. Moreover, the PaO2 in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the PaCO2 was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).At 6 months after intervention, the forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1)and FEV1/forced vital capacity(FVC)in both groups increased, and the FEV1 and FEV1/FVC in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).At 6 months after intervention, the 6-minute walking distance of the observation group was longer than that of the control group(P<0.05).The rehospitalization rate within 6 months in the observation group was 11.67%(7/60),which was lower than 26.67%(16/60)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combined application of respiratory function training and Cordyceps preparations during out-of-hospital rehabilitation can more effectively promote the recovery of pulmonary function and the improvement of quality of life in patients with ILD complicated with RF.
