Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of mentalization-based family therapy(MBFT)combined with Sertraline on depressive symptoms and non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)in adolescents with depression. Methods Ninety-two adolescent patients with depression admitted from January to December 2023 were selected and divided into two groups according to random number table method. The observation group was treated with MBFT combined with Sertraline, and the control group was treated with Sertraline. Both groups were treated for 12 consecutive weeks. The Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)score,Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)score,Personal and Social Performance Scale(PSP)score,Ruminative Responses Scale(RRS)score, frequency and severity of self-injury of NSSI were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the scores of HAMD and HAMA in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).After treatment, the scores of PSP in all dimensions were increased in the two groups, which were higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).After treatment, the RRS scores of all dimensions in the two groups were decreased, which were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).After treatment, the frequency and severity of self-injury in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion MBFT combined with Sertraline can effectively improve depressive symptoms and behavior characteristics of NSSI in adolescents with depression, and reduce the risk of NSSI.
