Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of surface decalcification with 10%hydrochloric acid in immunohistochemical staining of calcified tissues Ki67 and CK19.Methods Fifty-two cases of calcified tissues from the Department of Pathology from January 2020 to December 2024 were collected. The control group(n=26)was treated with the traditional and commonly used decalcification method, while the observation group(n=26)was treated with surface decalcification with 10%hydrochloric acid. The effects of different decalcification treatment methods in the two groups on the immunohistochemical staining effects of Ki67 and CK19 were compared. Results The duration of decalcification of the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group(P<0.01).The staining effects of HE in the two groups were comparable(P>0.05).The Ki67 staining quality score and Ki67 index in the observation group were both higher than those in the control group, and the CK19 staining score was also significantly increased(P<0.01).Conclusion The decalcification treatment of pathologically calcified tissues by surface decalcification with 10%hydrochloric acid is convenient to operate, and the immunohistochemical staining effects of Ki67 and CK19 are satisfactory.
