Abstract:Objective To analyze the impact of recombinant human interferon alpha-2b vaginal effervescent cap-sules applied at different timing on the vaginal microenvironment after cervical conization for patients with cervical intraepi-thelial neoplasia(CIN)accompanied by human papillomavirus(HPV)infection. Methods A total of 360 patients with CIN accompanied by HPV infection treated from February 2021 to February 2024 were selected and divided into group A,group B,and group C based on different treatment regimens, with 120 patients in each group. All three groups underwent cervical conization.Specifically, group A received preoperative treatment with recombinant human interferon alpha-2b vaginal effer-vescent capsules, group B was given the same drug before surgery and at 1 d after surgery, and group C was given the same drug before surgery and at 1 month postoperatively after the completion of the first menstrual cycle. The clinical efficacy and HPV clearance rate were compared among the three groups.Additionally, the recovery of vaginal microecology, vaginal local inflammation-related indicators[interleukin-4(IL-4),white blood cell(WBC)count, interferon gamma(IFN-γ),C-reactive protein(CRP)],wound healing time, and complications were statistically analyzed. Results The total effective rate,com-plete HPV clearance rate, and vaginal microecological recovery rate in group B were higher than those in group C and group A(P<0.05).The pH value of vaginal secretions in group B was lower than that in group C and group A(P<0.05).At 6 months after treatment, the levels of IL-4,CRP,and WBC count in group B were lower than those in group C and group A,while the level of INF-γ was higher than that in group C and group A(P<0.05).The wound healing time in group B was shorter than that in group C and group A(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications among the three groups within six months after treatment(P>0.05).The length of the cervical canal was shorter in all three groups after treatment than that before treatment(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The use of recombinant human interferon alpha-2b vaginal effervescent capsules before and early after cervical conization in patients with CIN accompanied by HPV infection can accelerate wound healing, reduce inflammatory response, improve vaginal microenvi-ronment,and increase the HPV clearance rate, which is beneficial to the disease prognosis.
