Experience of Professor Fang Zhaohui in the Treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy from the Spleen Perspective

Abstract：Diabetic retinopathy(DR)is one of the common clinical complications of diabetes.According to its pathological characteristics,Professor Fang Zhaohui believes that spleen deficiency is the core pathogenesis of DR,and the diagnosis and treatment of DR is mainly carried out by strengthening the spleen and invigorating qi,and according to the specific manifestations of each stage in the process of disease occurrence and development,the treatment is supplemented by methods such as nourishing yin and removing blood stasis,and nourishing liver and kidney,to address both the root cause and superficial symptoms.Professor Fang treats patients with DR based on the therapeutic principle of"treating from the spleen perspective"in clinical practice,with significant clinical efficacy.This article summarizes the relevant experience.
