Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of tendon relaxation and reduction manipulation based on the theory of"meridional sinews, sinew displacement, and bone misalignment"in the treatment of cervical spondylosis of cervical type with wind-cold-dampness obstruction syndrome. Methods Eighty patients with cervical spondylosis of cervical type with wind-cold-dampness obstruction syndrome who were admitted from September 2019 to September 2021 were selected and divided into two groups, with 40 patients in each group, according to the random number table method. The observation group was treated with the tendon relaxation and reduction manipulation based on the theory of"meridional sinews, sinew displacement, and bone misalignment",while the control group was treated with traction. Both groups were treated continuously for 2 weeks. The therapeutic effects, the scores of the Short-form McGill Pain Questionnaire(SF-MPQ),clinical symptom scores, mean blood flow velocity(Vm)of the basilar artery(BA),left vertebral artery(LVA),and right vertebral artery(RVA),cervical range of motion, cervical curvature(Borden value),Clinical Assessment Scale for Cervical Spondylosis(CASCS)scores, and neck disability ndex(NDI)score were compared before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.50%(37/40),which was higher than 75.00%(30/40)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 2 weeks after treatment, the VAS,PRI,PPI scores and total scores of the SF-MPQ scale in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).At 2 weeks after treatment, the scores of vertigo, headache and arm numbness in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).At 2 weeks after treatment, the Vm of BA,LVA and RVA in both groups was increased compared with that before treatment, and the Vm in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).At 2 weeks after treatment, the ranges of motion of left rotation, right rotation, posterior extension, forward flexion, left flexion and right flexion of the cervical vertebrae in both groups increased, and the range of motion in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).At 2 weeks after treatment, the Borden value and CASCS score of both groups were higher than those before treatment, while the NDI score was lower than that before treatment;the change range of the observation group was significantly greater than that of the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion The tendon relaxation and reduction manipulation based on the theory of"meridional sinews, sinew displacement, and bone misalignment"is reliable when applied to patients with cervical spondylosis of cervical type with wind-cold-dampness obstruction syndrome. It can effectively improve the cervical hemodynamics of patients, promote the improvement of cervical spine function, reduce the degree of pain, and restore the cervical curvature.
