Abstract:Heat stroke is a common heat stress disease, which is usually caused by prolonged exposure and strenuous activity in a high temperature environment. With the global warming, the hot and high temperature days in summer are in-creasing year by year.In the meantime, the high-density population, building complexes and the continuous traffic network of cities have exacerbated the severity of urban thermal environment, which seriously threatens human health. In the process of heat stroke, the body is stimulated by high temperature, which will induce the initiation of inflammatory response, resulting in the release of inflammatory factors and the activation of inflammatory cells. The release of these inflammatory mediators not on-ly causes direct damage to body tissues, but also participates in the regulation of body temperature, vasodilation and contrac-tion of blood vessels and other physiological processes, which further aggravates the condition of heat stroke. Therefore, the inflammatory response plays an important role in the pathogenesis and development of heat stroke. In addition, coagulation dysfunction is also one of the important characteristics in the occurrence and development of heat stroke. When heat stroke oc-curs,the body temperature regulation center in the body is out of control, resulting in a series of physiological and pathological reactions caused by the increase of body temperature, including hemorheology changes, vascular endothelial cell damage, and platelet dysfunction, and further leading to coagulation dysfunction. This article reviews the studies on pathogenesis,inflam-matory response and coagulation dysfunction of heat stroke in recent years,so as to provide new ideas for the subsequent clini-cal treatment of the disease.
