Abstract:Objective To study the effect of acupuncture combined with blood-letting cupping at the back-shu point in the treatment of allergic rhinitis(AR).Methods Ninety-nine patients with AR admitted from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected and divided into three groups according to random number table method, with 33 patients in each group. All the three groups were treated with Budesonide nasal spray. On this basis, the acupuncture group was treated with acupunc-ture,the cupping group was treated with blood-letting cupping at the back-shu point, and the combination group was treated with acupuncture combined with blood-letting cupping at the back-shu point. The efficacy and adverse reactions of the three groups were compared, and the grading score of inferior turbinate signs, nasal mucosal color, total nasal symptom score(TNSS),total non-specific symptom score(TNNSS),and rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire(RQLQ)scores be-fore and after treatment were compared. Results After treatment, the proportion of patients with 1 point of inferior turbinate sign grading in the combination group was higher than that in the acupuncture group and the cupping group, and the proportion of patients with 3 points was lower than that in the acupuncture group and the cupping group(P<0.05).After treatment, the proportion of light red nasal mucosa in the combination group was higher than that in the acupuncture group and the cupping group(P<0.05).After treatment, the TNSS score,TNNSS score and RQLQ score in the combination group were lower than those in the acupuncture group and the cupping group(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 100.00%(33/33)in the combination group, which was higher than75.76%(25/33)in the acupuncture group and72.73%(24/33)in the cupping group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the above indicators between the acupuncture group and the cupping group(P>0.05),nor in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Basic treat-ment combined with acupuncture and blood-letting cupping at the back-shu point in the treatment of AR can improve the clini-cal efficacy and clinical symptoms, reduce the severity of nasal symptoms, and improve the quality of life, with a certain safety.
