Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Fumigation and Washing Combined with High Intensity Focused Ultrasound in the Treatment of Vulvar White Lesion and Its Impact on TCM Syndrome Score and Inflammatory Indexes

Abstract：Objective To analyze the effect of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)fumigation and washing com-bined with high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)in the treatment of white lesions of the vulva and its impact on TCM syn-drome score and inflammatory indexes.Methods A total of 198 patients with white lesions of the vulva admitted from Decem-ber 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the research subjects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into ultrasound group(treated with HIFU)and combination group(treated with TCM fumigation combined with HIFU),with 99 patients in each group.The clinical efficacy,adverse reactions,and recurrence rate at 1-year follow-up were compared between the two groups.The TCM syndrome score,inflammatory indexes[white blood cell count(WBC),serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-18(IL-18)]before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the combination group was 95.96%(95/99),which was higher than 86.87%(86/99)of the ultrasound group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,which were lower in the combination group than in the ultrasound group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of WBC and serum TNF-α and IL-18 in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,which were lower in the combina-tion group than in the ultrasound group(P＜0.05).After 1 year of follow-up,the recurrence rate of the combination group was 4.04%(4/99),which was lower than 18.18%(18/99)of the ultrasound group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the combination group and the ultrasound group(P＞0.05).Conclusion TCM fumigation and washing combined with HIFU can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with white lesions of the vulva,reduce inflammatory reaction,and improve clinical efficacy,with high safety and low recur-rence rate.
