Clinical Study on the Effect of Five-line and Seven-needle Therapy Com-bined with Limb Rehabilitation Exercise in the Treatment of Limb Dys-function after Stroke

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of five-line and seven-needle therapy and limb rehabilitation exercise in the treatment of patients with limb dysfunction after stroke.Methods A total of 102 patients with limb dysfunction after stroke treated from January 2020 to December 2023 were selected and divided into observation group and control group by ran-dom number table method.Fifty-two patients in the control group received limb rehabilitation exercise treatment,and 50 pa-tients in the observation group were supplemented with five-line and seven-needle therapy on the basis of the control group.Both groups were treated for 4 weeks.After treatment,the clinical efficacy,Brunnstrom grade improvement and adverse effect of the two groups were compared.The changes in modified Barthel Index Rating Scale(MBI)score,Wolf Motor Function Test Scale(WMFT)score,Fugl-Meyer score,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score,traditional Chinese medi-cine(TCM)syndrome score and serum inflammatory factor level were compared before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group was 94.00％(47/50),which was higher than that of the control group(75.00％,39/52),suggesting significant differences(P＜0.01).After treatment,NIHSS scores was lower,while MBI scores were higher in both groups,and the improvement of NIHSS and MBI scores in the observation group was greater compared with that in the control group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).After treatment,WMFT and Fugl-Meyer scores were increased in the two groups,and the increases were more obvious in the observation group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores in both groups decreased,and the decrease in the observation group was more obvious(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).After treatment,the improvement of Brunnstrom grade in both groups were greater than that before treatment,which was better in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,serum levels of interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-1 β in the two groups were decreased,and the decrease was more significant in the ob-servation group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).There were no significant adverse reactions during the treatment period in both groups.Conclusion Five-line and seven-needle therapy and limb rehabilitation exercise have good clinical effect in the treat-ment of patients with limb dysfunction after stroke,which can improve the symptoms,limb motor function,nerve function,life ability,and reduce the inflammatory response of patients.
