Clinical Study on Bushen Huayu Jianpi Acupuncture Combined with Self-prescribed Traditional Chinese Medicine Tangshen'an in the Treatment of Diabetic Nephropathy

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of Bushen Huayu Jianpi acupuncture combined with self-prescribed Tangshen'an on diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods Seventy patients with early DN admitted from November 2023 to May 2024 were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 35 patients in each group.The two groups were treated with conventional Western medicine,on the basis of which the control group was treated with self-prescribed Tangshen'an,and the observation group was treated with Bushen Huayu Jianpi acupuncture combined with self-pre-scribed Tangshenan.The clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,blood glucose[fasting blood glucose(FBG),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)],renal function[urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER),urinary albumin creatinine ratio(UACR),serum creatinine(Scr)],inflammatory indicators[interleukin-1(IL-1),mononuclear chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),C-reactive protein(CRP)]and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group[100.00%(35/35)]was higher than that of the control group[77.14%(27/35)],showing significant difference(P＜0.05).After treatment,TCM syndrome score,FBG,HbA1c,UAER,UACR,Scr,IL-1,TNF-α,MCP-1 and CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse re-actions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Bushen Huayu Jianpi acupuncture combined with self-prescribed Tangshen'an is effective in the treatment of DN,which can further control blood sugar level,improve renal function,inhibit in-flammatory response and improve clinical symptoms of patients,with good safety.
