Abstract:Objective To investigate the risk factors of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)infection in patients with diabetic foot wound. Methods PubMed,Web of Science,EmBase,The Cochrane Library and Scopus,Pre-view,Ovid,Proquest,China Journal Full-text Database,China Biomedical Literature Database,Wanfang Data Resource Sys-tem and VIP database were systemically searched for all the literature on the risk factors of MRSA infection in patients with di-abetic foot wounds from the inception of the database to June 1,2024.After rigorous literature screening and exclusion, the literature quality was evaluated using Newcastle-Ottawa scale(NOS)for the included literature. The literature data and data extraction were carried out for each literature, including the number of cases and the risk factors of MRSA infection in the in-cluded literature, and the risk factors of MRSA infection in diabetic foot wound were analyzed.Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. Results Ultimately,9 literature of medium or high quality were included, including 2 cohort studies and 7 case-control studies.A total of 1 193 patients were included, including 324 patients in MRSA group and 869 pa-tients in methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus(MSSA)group.Meta-analysis results showed that hypoproteinemia,his-tory of antibiotic use, ulcer area and osteomyelitis were risk factors for MRSA infection of diabetic foot wound(P<0.01).Conclusion Hypoproteinemia, history of antibiotic use, ulcer area and osteomyelitis are the main risk factors for MRSA in-fection of diabetic foot wound, which should be corrected in time during clinical diagnosis and treatment.
