Analysis and Preventive and Treatment Strategies of Misdiagnosis and Mis-treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

Abstract：Gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)is a common disease in the gastroenterology department.When patients are treated with extresophageal syndrome,they are more likely to be misdiagnosed with chronic cough,asthma,chron-ic obstructive pulmonary disease,coronary heart disease,angina pectoris,and chronic pharyngitis.Corresponding treatment is far from satisfactory.The clinical symptoms of GERD involve multiple clinical specialties,and when extresophageal symptoms are the main or even the only manifestation,it is prone to misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.This study analyzes the present situation and countermeasures of misdiagnosis and mistreatment of the disease,aiming to provide reference for clinicians in the diagnosis of the disease.
