Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of retention enema with Chaishao Chengqi decoction combined with exter-nal application of Jiuhedan on acute pancreatitis with excess heat syndrome of liver and stomach. Methods A total of 60 pa-tients with acute pancreatitis and excess heat syndrome of liver and stomach treated from July 2021 to September 2022 were in-cluded and divided into the observation group(n=30)and the control group(n=30)by random number table method. The control group was given conventional Western medicine combined with external application of Jiuhedan, and the observation group was supplemented with retention enema with Chaishao Chengqi decoction on the basis of the control group. After treat-ment,the clinical efficacy, relief time of abdominal distension and pain, time of food intake, first time of defecation, recovery time of bowel sound and length of hospital stay of the two groups were compared.Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syn-drome scores,C reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and blood amylase levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups,as well as the occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups. Results The total effective rate was 93.33%in the observation group and 73.33%in the control group(P<0.05).The relief time of abdominal distension and abdominal pain, time of food intake, first time of defecation, recovery time of bowel sound and length of hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.01).After treatment, the scores of epigastric distension and pain, sticky stool, fever, chest tightness, dyspeptic and TCM syndrome score in the two groups all decreased, which were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,CRP,IL-6,TNF-α and blood amylase in the two groups were decreased, which were lower in the ob-servation group than in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the incidence of ad-verse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Retention enema with Chaishao Chengqi decoction com-bined with external application of Jiuhedan has a good effect on acute pancreatitis with excess heat syndrome of liver and stom-ach,which can effectively reduce the symptoms of patients, promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, reduce inflam-matory factors and blood amylase levels, and has good safety.
