Clinical Effect of Compound Eucommia Decoction Combined with Tofac-itinib and Methotrexate in the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effect of compound Eucommia decoction combined with Tofacitinib and Methotrexate in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.Methods A total of 81 patients with rheumatoid arthritis admitted from October 2019 to March 2024 were included and randomly divided into a Western medicine group treated with Tofacitinib and Methotrexate(n=40)and a combination decoction group treated with compound Eucommia decoction combined with To-facitinib and Methotrexate(n=41).The efficacy,adverse reactions and visual analogue scale(VAS)pain score at 1,2 and 3 months after treatment were compared between the two groups.The changes of morning stiffness time,the number of joint swelling,erythrocyte deposition rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP),28-joint disease activity score(DAS28)and generic quality of life inventory-74(GQOL-74)score before and after treatment were observed in the two groups.Results The total effective rate of combination decoction group was 95.12%(39/41),which was higher than that of Western medicine group[80.00%(32/40)](P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the combination decoction group was lower than that in Western medicine group(P＜0.05).At 1,2 and 3 months after treatment,VAS scores in the combination decoction group were lower than those in the Western medicine group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the morning stiffness time of the combination decoction group was shorter than that of the Western medicine group,and the number of joint swelling was less,the levels of ESR and CRP were lower,the scores of DAS28 were lower,and GQOL-74 were higher,as compared with those of the Western medicine group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The treatment of rheumatoid arthritis patients with compound Eu-commia decoction combined with Tofacitinib and Methotrexate has significant effects,which can reduce inflammatory factors,relieve pain symptoms,improve joint function and quality of life,and reduce adverse reactions of Western medicines,with good safety and reliability.
