Abstract:Postmenopausal osteoporosis(PMOP)is a chronic systemic skeletal disorder closely related to menopaus-al,which is classified as "bone weakness" in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Its onset is related to the kidneys,and kidney tonifying therapy is the fundamental treatment principle.This article reviews the progress of TCM research on PMOP from the perspective of renal theory,aiming to provide some reference for clinical treatment and research of PMOP.
