Abstract：The chemical components of Saussurea involucrate Kar.et Kir include flavonoids,coumarins,sesquiter-pene lactones,phenylpropanoids,organic acids,steroids,sphingolipids,and volatile oils.The rich chemical components of Saussurea involucrate Kar.et Kir also determine its extensive pharmacological effects,such as anti-inflammatory,analgesic,anti-tumor,anti-oxidant effect,immune regulation,and lowering blood lipids.This article summarizes and expounds the research status,chemical components and pharmacological effects of Saussurea involucrate Kar.et Kir at home and abroad by reviewing a large number of domestic and foreign literature,in order to provide a reference for a comprehensive understanding and ratio-nal development of Saussurea involucrate Kar.et Kir resources.
