Abstract:Objective To investigate the value of vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging(VWI-MRI)in the stabili-ty of unruptured intracranial aneurysms(UIA).Methods A total of 120 patients with UIA admitted to our hospital from Jan-uary 2021 to January 2023 were selected and divided into stable group(n=64)and unstable group(n=56)according to the stability of aneurysms.VWI-MRI examinations were performed, and VWI-MRI parameters were compared between the two groups and patients with different growth and rupture risk within 5 years[location, forked aneurysm, shape, form of enhance-ment,wall enhancement grade, enhancement index, tumor depth, neck width and tumor width].The correlation between VWI-MRI parameters and the stability, growth and rupture risk of UIA within 5 years was analyzed. Results There were sig-nificant differences between stable group and unstable group and between low-risk and high-risk patients with respect to bifur-cation aneurysm, morphology, type of reinforcement, grade of wall reinforcement and WEI(P<0.05,P<0.01).The stabil-ity,growth within 5 years and rupture risk of UIA were positively correlated with bifurcation aneurysms, morphology, type of reinforcement, grade of wall reinforcement and WEI(P<0.01).Conclusion VWI-MRI can be used to evaluate the stabili-ty of UIA,and provide reference for early clinical assessment of aneurysm growth and rupture risk.
