Abstract:Objective Severe pneumonia has many and serious complications, and the fatality rate ranks first among infectious diseases. When bacterial or viral infection occurs, the pathogenic bacteria are active, resulting in a reduction in the body's defense ability. In addition, due to weak immunity, children have a high incidence of severe pneumonia. In recent years, flexible bronchoscopy technique has been widely used in pediatric diseases. This technique can not only help observe morphological characteristics of the bronchus, obtain deep respiratory secretions or tissue samples for etiological examination, but also unclog respiratory tract through guided tracheal intubation and assisted interventional therapy. It plays an important role in improving the diagnosis rate of severe pneumonia, shortening the length of hospital stay of children, reducing the risk of complications and preventing recurrence.
