Abstract:Objective To investigate clinical characteristics of malignant mixed mullerian tumor ( MMMT) of the fallopian tube, and to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment. Methods A retrospective analysis of clin-ical data of one case of MMMT of the fallopian tube was performed and relevant literature at home and abroad was re-viewed. Results The patient presented to our department due to pain in the lower abdomen for six months, which was aggravated one day before admission. The patient underwent color Doppler ultrasound examination in Outpatient Department, which revealed uterine cavity effusion, a large amount of pelvic effusion, and pelvic masses. She was hospitalized for ovarian tumor. After relevant examinations, laparotomy was performed, and the diagnosis of MMMT of the right fallopian tube was confirmed by routine postoperative pathological findings. The patient was treated by TC ( Paclitaxel + Carboplatin) chemotherapy. After 9 months of follow-up, the patient was in stable condition and still under follow-up. Conclusion MMMT of the fallopian tube is extremely rare, therefore, timely pathological exami-nation and increased awareness of rare diseases is the key to reducing misdiagnosis.
