Abstract:Objective To investigate effects of Esomeprazole combined with immuno-enteral nutrition on intestinal mucosal barrier and related cytokines in patients with severe acute pancreatitis. Methods A total of 62 patients with severe acute pancreatitis, who had met the admittance and exclusion criteria, were divided into observation group(n=31) and con-trol group (n=31) according to admission time. Observation group was treated with Esomeprazole combined with immuno-en-teral nutrition on the basis of routine treatment, while control group was treated with immuno-enteral nutrition treatment on the basis of routine treatment. Clinical effect, recovery times of hemodiastase and urinary amylase, relieved time of abdominal pain and changes of intestinal mucosal barrier and cytokines before and after treatment were observed. Results In observation group, the total effective rate was significantly higher, while recovery times of hemodiastase and urinary amylase, and relieved time of abdominal pain were significantly shorter than those in control group(P<0.05). After treatment, levels of tumor nec-rosis factor(TNF-α),interleukin-6 (IL-6),IL-8,endotoxin,D blood lactic acid,CD3+,CD8+ and CD4+/CD8+ were higher, while CD4+ levels were lower than those before treatment in two groups, and there were no significant differences in CD3+ and CD4+/CD8+ levels in observation group and CD4+/CD8+ level in control group, while the differences in oth-er above indexes were statistically significant(P<0.05). After treatment,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8,endotoxin and D blood lactic acid levels were significantly lower, while CD3+ and CD4+ levels were significantly higher in observation group than those in control group (P>0.05). Conclusion Esomeprazole combined with immuno-enteral nutrition on intestinal mucosal barrier and related cytokines in patients with severe acute pancreatitis may achieve good effect and improve the intestinal mucosal bar-rier and cytokine levels.
