Abstract:Objective To investigate clinical effect of implantation of pancreatic duct stent during endoscopic retro-grade cholangiopancreatography ( ERCP) surgery in prevention of postoperative pancreatitis ( PEP) . Methods A total of 90 biliary tract diseases patients with ERCP surgery were divided into observation group and control group ( n=45 for each group) by computer randomized method. Observation group received intraoperative implantation of pancreatic duct stent, but control group did not. Incidence rate of PEP, PEP severe degree, Ranson score and hemodiastase recovery normal time were observed and compared in two groups. Results In observation group, incidence rate of PEP (11. 11%) was significantly lower than 40. 0% in control group;Ranson score [(1. 23 ± 0. 42) points] was significantly lower than [(2. 58 ± 1. 24) points] in con-trol group;hemodiastase recovery time [(3. 12 ± 0. 47) d] was significantly shorter than [(5. 91 ± 1. 43) d] in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0. 05). Numbers of light, medium and severe PEP patients were respectively 3, 1 and 1 cases in observation group and 5, 6 and 7 cases in control group, and PEP severe degree in observa-tion group was better than that in control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0. 05). Conclusion Implantation of pancreatic duct stent during ERCP can reduce incidence rate of PEP and severity of the patient's condition and promote patient's recovery.
