Abstract:Objective To investigate influencing factors in patients with ischemic brain white matter demyelinating lesions. Methods A total of 64 patients with ischemic brain white matter demyelinating lesions admitted from January to June 2015 were divided into mild-moderate group (n=32) and severe group (n=32) according to the severity.High risk factors of ischemic brain white matter demyelinating lesions were analyzed. Results There were significant differences in age, blood homocysteine (Hcy) level, type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension and carotid atherosclerosis between the two groups (P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the age, blood Hcy levels, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and hypertension were related to ischemic brain white matter demyelinating lesions. Conclusion The age, blood Hcy level, type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension are closely related to ischemic brain white matter demyelinating lesions.Early diagnosis and active intervention can decrease damage of brain tissue and nervous system.
