Abstract:Objective To investigate effects of nature killer (NK) cell therapy on immune function and liver function of patients with primary liver cancer. Methods A total of 86 patients with primary liver cancer undergoing NK cell therapy during January 2015 and January 2016 were recruited in this study. All patients underwent NK cell therapy after standardized treatment.Immune function and liver function before and after treatment were compared, and short-term prognosis was evaluated. Results After NK cell therapy, immune function indexes such as CD3+, CD4+, IgG, IgM and IgA levels were significantly higher than those before treatment (P<0.05), while CD8 level was significantly lower than that that before treatment (P<0.05);liver function indexes such as γ-glutamyl transferase (γ-GT), alanine transarninase (ALT), total bilirubin (TBIL) and aspartate transaminase (AST) were significantly lower than those before treatment (P<0.05).The 1 year survival rate was 88.37% (76/86) with 9-20 months of follow-up.Conclusion On the basis of standardized treatment, NK cell therapy can improve immune function, liver function and short-term prognosis of patients with primary liver cancer.
