Abstract:Objective To observe correlation between gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and primary hypertensive disease. Methods A total of 22 primary hypertensive disease patients with GERD admitted during June 2014 and December 2015 were given Omeprazole treatment for 1 month and invariable anti-hypertension therapy. The 24 h ambulary blood pressure monitoring and 24 h esophageal pH associated impedance monitoring were performed before and after treatment simultaneously, and correlation between pathological reflux and onset of hypertensive disease.blood pressure (BP) changes and anti-hypertension effect of anti-acid therapy were observed. Results During the monitoring, 312 times of pathological reflux (PR) and 453 times of elevated BP were recorded.Nocturnal PR was more easily found (t=-2.888, P=0.009), while there was no significant difference in times of hypertension onset in the day and night (t=0.990, P=0.333).PR was correlated with hypertension onset (r=0.242, P=0.015).Anti-acid therapy brought about different degrees reduction in all esophageal monitoring parameters and BP parameters (P<0.05 or P<0.01).The total effective rate of anti-acid therapy for anti-hypertension was 54.5%.Conclusion Partial hypertension is closely related to GERD.Effective diagnosis and active treatment can significantly ameliorate reflux symptoms and reduce incidence rate of related hypertensive diseases.
