Application Value of Ultrasound Assistant in the Diagnosis of Congenital Hypertrophy in Newborns

Abstract：Objective To explore the application value of ultrasound assistant in the diagnosis of congenital hyper-trophic pyloric ( CHP) . Methods Application of ultrasound was performed in 45 cases of clinically suspected CHP of newbo-rns in the first direct examination of the stomach, and then ultrasound assistant were taken for recheck. The length, diameter, and thickness of the muscle layer were measured. Results 25 patients (55. 56%) were, after taking ultrasonic contrast a-gent, diagnosed with CHP and confirmed by operation, among whom, 22 patients were diagnosed with CHP by fasting direct ultrasound examination, and ultrasonography with the help of ultrasound assistant supported the diagnosis;3 cases of direct ex-amination of fasting did not confirm the diagnosis of CHP, and ultrasound assistant in ultrasonography supported the diagnosis of CHP. Ultrasound and other imaging examinations helped in diagnosis of 5 other neonatal congenital diseases and some func-tional diseases. Conclusion Ultrasonography with the help of ultrasound assistant in the diagnosis of CHP of newborns is bet-ter than the fasting ultrasound with good safety.
