Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Sevoflurane in different degrees on agitation of recovery period of senile patients. Methods 90 patients scheduled for laparoscopic surgery were enrolled .The patients were randomly divided into three groups , with 30 patients in each group .After induction and intubation , the Sevoflurane was inhaled with 1 minimum alveolar concentration (MAC) (group A), 0.65 MAC (group B), 0.50 MAC (group C).At the end of operation, the time of spontaneous breathing recovery , eyes opening , of extubation and of voluntary motion were recorded , and the emergence agi-tation was performed to determine the occurrence of agitation .Results The anesthesia effect was perfect in three groups .The difference of the spontaneous breathing time , eyes opening time , extubation time and voluntary motion time of patients between the 3 groups were statistically significant ( P<0.05 ) .Compared with group A , the time of spontaneously breathing , eyes o-pening , extubation and voluntary motion of patients in group B and C were shorter ( P<0.05 ) , while the degree of agitation of patients in group B and C was lower , and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05 ) .The difference of the sponta-neous breathing time , eye opening time, extubation time and voluntary motion time of patients between group B and group C were not statistically significant ( P<0.05 );but compared with group B , the degree of agitation of patients in group C was in-creased, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Senile patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery show a decreased incidence rate of agitation during administration of 0.50 MAC Sevoflurane for static absorption com-pound anesthesia with the desired effect .
