Analysis of the Misdiagnosis Cause of the Ultrasonic Examination of Female Pelvic Cystic Tumor

Abstract:Objective To investigate the misdiagnosis causes of the ultrasonic examination of female pelvic cystic tumor.Methods Clinical data of ultrasonic examinations of 7 misdiagnosed cases of female pelvic cystic tumor examination were analyzed , which ware selected from the 102 cases admitted to Ping'an Hospital between July 2013 and July 2015 and un-derwent by color Doppler ultrasound examinations .Results The misdiagnosis rate was 6.9%.The pathologic findings of the 7 misdiagnosed cases were as follows:1 case showed hypogastralgia accompanied by menstrual exacerbation and intermittent diarrhea .1 case showed intermittent vaginal discharge and infertility .2 cases showed hypogastralgia accompanied by distention and frequent micturition .3 cases did not have clinical symptoms .The situation of the 7 misdiagnosed cases were as follows:ultrasound examination of 2 cases revealed malignant ovarian tumor , the postoperative pathological examination showed endom-etrial ectopia of uterus-rectum-fossa and mucinous cystadenoma of ovary .Ultrasound examination of 2 cases revealed ovarian-cyst, the postoperative pathological examination showed ovarian simple cyst and parovarian cyst .Ultrasound examination of 1 case revealed corpus luteum hemorrhage , the postoperative pathological examination showed ovary mature teratoma .Ultrasound examination of 1 case revealed mesosalpinx cyst , the postoperative pathological examination showed hydrosalpinx .Ultrasound examination of 1 case revealed subserosa hysteromyoma , the postoperative pathological examination showed mesosalpinx cyst . All the 7 patients underwent laparoscopic surgery , 6 patients underwent line mass cystectomy , 1 patient underwent tubal fenes-tration plastic surgery , and the results showed good postoperative effects .Conclusion The main causes of misdiagnosis in the ultrasonic examination of female pelvic cystic tumor are huge lump , atypical ultrasonic manifestation , and insufficient clinical experience .Clinicians should pay attention to the following points during ultrasonic examination : medical history , menstrual history, clinical manifestation , laboratory data and other imaging data .
