Correlation of Neutrophils and Lymphocytes Ratio with the Prognosis of Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma
LUO Xian-ce
Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between blood neutrophils and lymphocytes ratio (NLR) and the prognosis of bladder urothelial carcinoma. Methods 100 cases of bladder urothelial carcinoma of our hospital during sep-tember 2007 and September 2011 underwent preoperative routine blood test NLR. According to the ratio of NLR, the patients were divided into low NLR group (NLR≤2. 7) and high NLR group (NLR>2. 7). Clinical pathological parameters, of the two groups were compared and telephone follow-up, combined with data of tumor recurrence and survival were analyzed in terms of correlation. Results This study revealed that 1, 3, 5-year survival rate and tumor recurrence rate of low NLR group were significantly higher than that of high NLR group, with statistically significant the differences (P<0. 05). Single factor a-nalysis showed that age, tumor infiltration depth, lymph node metastasis and poor differentiation were high risk factors affect-ing prognosis and multi-factor analysis showed that high NLR was an independent risk factor affecting the prognosis of patients with postoperative tumor. Conclusion High NLR is a risk factors influencing the prognosis of bladder urothelial carcinoma, and higher the NLR is, the poorer prognosis is. NLR is of great practical value in the prognosis of bladder urothelial carcinoma.
