Abstract:Objective To explore the changes of serum leptin ( LP) and plasma adiponectin ( APN) contents and the clinical significance in patients with acute myocardial infarction ( AMI) . Methods A total of 52 patients with AMI during September 2011 and October 2013 were selected as AMI group, and 70 healthy people with medical examination at the same time were as control group. In the two groups, the levels of serum LP and plasma APN were detected by enzyme-linked immu-nosorbent assay, and the levels of serum myoglobin ( Mb) and troponin T ( cTnT) were detected by automatic biochemistry an-alyzer. LP and ANP levels on admission, 12 h and 24 h after onset between the two groups were compared, and then the cor-relation between LP and APN levels with Mb and cTnT levels in AMI patients were analyzed. Results In AMI group, the se-rum LP level began to increase when admitted, the LP levels at 12 h and 24 h after onset were higher than that on admission, and the LP level at 24 h was also higher than that at 12 h, and all differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05, P<0.01);the differences in serum LP levels at 12 h and 24 h after onset in AMI group were statistically significant compared with that in control group (P<0.01). In AMI group, the plasma APN level significantly decreased on admission, the plasma APN levels at 12 h and 24 h after onset were lower than that on admission, and it was also lower at 24 h than that at 12 h, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05, P<0.01); Plasma APN levels in AMI group at all time points were statistically different compared with that in control group (P<0.05, P<0.01). Linear correlation analysis at 24 h after onset showed that LP level had no correlation with Mb and cTnt (r=0. 35, 0. 17, P>0. 05); APN negatively correlated with Mb level (r= -0. 73, P<0.05), but APN had no correlation with cTnT level (r=0. 27, P>0. 05). Conclusion Abnormal LP and APN may be independent risk factors of AMI incidence, and the LP and APN may participate in the incidence and de-velopment of AMI.
