Abstract:Objective To explore the surgical effects of the dual incisions of double plates internal fixation and knee midline incision locking plate internal fixation in treatment of SchatzkerⅤ&Ⅵtibial plateau fractures. Methods A total of 76 patients with SchatzkerⅤorⅥtibial plateau fractures were randomly divided into control group ( n=38 ) , which was treated with midline incision locking plate internal fixation via knee, and experimental group (n=38), which underwent the dual inci-sions of double plates internal fixation. The effects of the two groups were evaluated. Results The values of operative time, in-traoperative bleeding volum, hospital stay and postoperative starting weight-bearing time in experimental group were shorter than those in control group (P<0.05);the difference in postoperative healing time in the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The incidence rates of complications such as postoperative joint stiffness, fracture delayed union, pin hole infection and bowleg deformity in experimental group were significantly lower than those in control group ( P<0.05 ); while the differ-ences in incidence rates of the fracture of loosening, knee joint instability, postoperative infection, skin necrosis, bone necrosis and nonunion between the two groups were not statistical significant (P>0.05). There were statistical differences in compari-sons of postoperative Rasmussen classification between two groups ( P<0.05 ) . Conclusion The effect of the dual-incision double-plate internal fixation in treatment of SchatzkerⅤ&Ⅵtype tibial plateau fractures is superior to that by the knee midline incision locking plate internal fixation with shorter operative time and fewer complications.
