Abstract:Objective To investigated the effect of Sengstaken-blakemore tube combined with Octreotide and Ome-prazole in treatment of esophageal and gastric varices hemorrhage induced by cirrhosis. Methods A total of 72 patients with esophageal and gastric varices hemorrhage induced by cirrhosis were randomly divided into treatment group(n=36)and con-trol group( n =36 ). The treatment group was treated with Sengstaken-blakemore tube combined with Octreotide and Ome-prazole,while the control group received Sengstaken-blakemore tube combined with pituitrin and Omeprazole, and then effects and adverse reactions were observed after 24 h of treatment. Results The total efficiency rate was 91. 67% in treatment group and 72. 22% in control group respectively, and the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0. 05). Incidence rate of adverse reactions was 5. 6% in treatment group and 19. 4% in control group, and the difference was not statistically significant (P﹥0. 05). Conclusion The effect of Sengstaken-blakemore tube combined with Octreotide and Omeprazole is better than that of Sengstaken-blakemore tube combined with pituitrin and Omeprazole in treatment of esophageal and gastric varices hem-orrhage induced by cirrhosis.
