Abstract:In this study,we investigated and analyzed donkey diseases and antibiotic use in a large-scale donkey farm in 2021 and 2022.The main cases of diseases in this farm are concentrated in donkeys under the age of one during the summer. It was found that 55.15%of all sick donkeys treated with medication in 2021 were treated with antibiotics or partially treated with antibiotics, while this figure was 95.63%in 2022,indicating that antibiotics were the main therapeutic medication used on this donkey farm. The anti-biotics used more frequently in this donkey farm were cephalosporins, penicillin, enrofloxacin and neomy-cin.In 2021 and 2022,the higher percentage of sick donkeys in this donkey farm were enteritis,pneumo-nia,cold,glandular disease and arthritis, which accounted for 83.03% and 86.30% of the number of sick donkeys in 2021 and 2022,respectively.In the future,we should focus on strengthening the pharmacoki-netic and pharmacodynamic study of antimicrobial drugs in donkeys, promoting precise dosing technology, and improving feeding management programs.
