Abstract:Cold sintering is a new concept for the preparation of ultra-low temperature ceramics, which realizes the densification sintering of ceramics and other composite materials by means of solvent introduction, uniaxial pres-sure and moderate heating at a temperature below 300 ℃.The main idea of cold sintering is to use the mechanical-chemical coupling effect to replace high temperature sintering to provide driving force, improve the mass transfer process during sintering, and achieve particle compaction and densification under ultra-low temperature conditions.Cold sintering technique has become the key development direction of the comprehensive green transformation of China's industrial development and the implementation of Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals.Herein, the sintering mechanism of cold sintering technology and its application in microwave dielectric ceramics,transpar-ent ceramics and structural ceramics are reviewed, and the preparation process, properties and application prospect of specific ceramic components in each field are emphasized. With the continuous development and improvement of cold sintering technology,it is expected to play a more important role in various fields, and promote the sustain-able development of ceramic materials and related industries.
