Abstract：Nostoc commune Vaucher,commonly known as"Di Pi Cai"in China,is a type of cyanobacteria belonging to the Nostoc genus,widely distributed in China and around the world.This organism is rich in various nutrients and bioactive components,and it has a long history of culinary and medicinal use,as well as great development value.This article provides a comprehensive review of the polysaccharide,proteins,active components,edible and medicinal values,agricultural and ecological values of N.commune,with a particular focus on the exploration of Omics technologies in related research.The aim is to enhance the comprehensive understanding of the polysaccharides,functional proteins,natural products,and resource value within N.commune,and to provide an important theoretical basis for its in-depth development and utilization.
